2nd Mass Induction

The 2nd Mass Induction was hosted by RC San Juan del Monte on November 6, 2010 at Valle Verde Country Club, Pasig City. Registration started at 1:00 pm and program proper at around 2:30 pm. The event was emceed by our very own CP Marilou Co.
DG Jun Farcon called the 2nd Mass Induction in order followed by IPP Noli Viñas’ invocation and PN Elvie Zamora for the National Anthem. Yours truly, as chairperson of the Mass Induction, welcomed all present with the emphasis on the opportunities and benefits of the inductees in joining this magnificent organization.
DS Tom Rocamora introduced the guests and Rotarians, followed by the presentation of new members and sponsors by District Membership Chair PDG Fabie Enriquez.
It was an honor for us to have, no less than, PDG Dave Villanueva, Rotary Zone 7A Membership Coordinator (D-3850) graced the occasion and did the charging of the 49 inductees. DG Jun Farcon then, swore into membership the enthusiastic New Rotarians. The pinning by their sponsors and members were done by Zone to give them
the opportunities to take photos on stage.
SAG Pilar Lee made a very simple and personal introduction on DG Jun for his inspirational message. Response and closing remarks was given by Global Pres. Chay Pagdilao.
DS Tom Rocamora made announcements with special mention of the forthcoming DISCON before the adjournment by DG Jun. The afternoon was ended by singing of the District Theme Song.
I would like to thank and congratulate our Global Presidents and their respective Clubs for their support and effort on the membership growth in our District. May we continue to grow in Rotary and make more people truly know “What Service is Above Self” is all about.
The turnout may not be as big as the 1st Mass Induction but obviously this is another achievement for the District considering the quality, not just the quantity, of our new Baby Rotarians. To them, welcome to the exciting world of Rotary District 3800!
